2nd Amendment

There has been a lot of talking going on lately about the 2nd Amendment. This happened when Bill Clinton was elected as well. Is President Obama going to take away our guns, I'm not sure; he might try. The 2nd Amendment is the part of the Bill of Rights that protects our rights to keep and bear arms from infringement by the federal government. This is an important article in the Constitution.

George Washington said "Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty's teeth." We as a free society can keep the federal government in check so long as we have firearms. If the federal government takes away that right, then we can no longer defend ourselves; this is when national socialism would take over. The National Socialists party is what killed 6million Jews during WWII. Do we really want a repeat of that? No. Then we must continue to defend our right to bear arms. Even if you aren't a gun owner that doesn't mean that you shouldn't voice your opinion to your elected representatives. You can thank a very wise group of men, and our God, for helping the people keep the government in check with the 2nd Amendment.
